Join one of our monthly PADI Instructor Development Courses here in Utila with College of Diving. Our next programs are coming up soon and you can get started online today with our e-learning.
What sets our PADI IDC program in Utila apart from any other dive instructor course out there is three main areas of focus: Top-notch Course Content, Industry Leader Trainers, Career Support for Life.
TOP-NOTCH COURSE CONTENT
We have gone above and beyond to ensure that our PADI IDC in Utila is filled to the brim with useful content that will set you apart in the industry. Where PADI requires only a limited number of practice rounds, we spend two whole weeks perfecting your presentation and problem-solving skills. More than any other training center known to us.
In addition we've added unlimited diving, PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor training, SCUBA resume building, both shore and boat diving, Hyperbaric Chamber operations, sidemount, tec and full face mask try-dives, language support in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Swedish, Japanese and German and small group sizes only. For those who include the MSDT instructor internship, we've also added the PADI Adaptive Techniques Instructor training and dive center operations workshops.
INDUSTRY LEADER TRAINERS
Our PADI Instructor Trainers work with one key principle in mind: "Do you want to call yourself a Course Director, or do you want to BE a Course Director?"
The differences between our PADI Platinum Course Directors Nick Derutter and Stephen J. Aynsley and other Course Directors out there aren't subtle. Most PADI Instructor trainers will often stay around their dive shop and try to conduct as many consecutive PADI IDC programs as they can to maximize profit, regardless of the impact on their program. Nick and Stephen ensure you will always have a fresh staff member in front of you, as they take turns each month while pursuing other areas of diving, instruction and dive industry activity.
As a result of this, you can ask Stephen a thing or two about Ice Diving or Technical Diving. In fact, he even runs Ice Diver training trips yearly! You may know Nick from the well known YouTube Channel DiveSAGA. He also organizes dive travel. These are the connections you want to make during your PADI IDC in Utila.
Oh, did you know Nick wrote the book "Career in SCUBA"? It's essentially the guide book on how to become a successful SCUBA Instructor. You can find it here on Amazon.
CAREER SUPPORT FOR LIFE
While training a lot of PADI Dive Instructors is great, numbers don't tell the whole story. Ultimately it's not even about the Course Directors at all. It's about YOU. The real work happens after the PADI IDC. The reason we limit our class sizes is because we don't consider the job finished until our graduates are successfully employed in the industry. We work hard with our candidates to review resume's, letters of recommendation, help find jobs, prepare for interviews and getting the right connections. For that first job, and the next one and the next one.
The proof is in our Job Placement map.
We also offer PADI Instructor Internships with our PADI IDC and MSDT prep program. After your Specitaly Instructor Training you can start team teaching with our experienced dive instructors here at the College of Diving. You will teach PADI courses alongside them while taking your first steps in the SCUBA industry.
Become a PADI Instructor in Utila with the leading team of PADI SCUBA Instructor Trainers.
