WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

The IDC Staff Instructor rating shows a commitment to a career in diving. You demonstrate you know continuing education is a life long process. Many dive shop and resort managers are IDC Staff Instructors, this can be an important step if you’re considering managing or owning a dive business. It’s also the next level required for those intending to pursue the ranking of Master Instructor and Course Director.

Through one-on-one training sessions with our Platinum Course Director Nick Derutter, you’ll discuss the psychology behind evaluation and feedback and you’ll learn how to score IDC candidates on confined water, open water and classroom presentations. You’ll also learn how to conduct the entire PADI Assistant Instructor Course.
In this program you audit an IDC as a staff member and begin the process of developing your candidate evaluation skills. You also further refine your knowledge of dive theory, hone your demonstration skills to perfection, and learn about the logistics of an IDC.
