☑️ COMPLETE AND UNDERSTAND THE PADI IDC E-LEARNING
 

One of the perks of choosing to do your PADI IDC in Utila with College of Diving is that you will receive your PADI IDC e-learning materials immediately upon registering for one of our programs. These IDC e-learning materials are not a substitute for the in-class work we will do together! The PADI IDC e-learning supports the content we will elaborate on in class.

The second part of the PADI IDC e-learning is the Diving Knowledge Workbook e-Learning. This contains a vital refresher of key concepts you have learned during your PADI Divemaster course and elaborate on each topic to the extent that's required on a PADI Instructor Examination. This section is best studied in conjunction with your PADI Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving. The study topics include:

- PHYSICS
- PHYSIOLOGY
- EQUIPMENT
- GENERAL SKILLS & THE ENVIRONMENT
- PADI RECREATIONAL DIVE PLANNER

Thoroughly studying and understanding the contents of the PADI IDC e-learning will allow you to follow along in class much more easily and will actually free up time to discuss more pertinent things, such as teaching techniques, your future after the course, job placement and industry success. Failure to complete and understand all these e-learning components will lead to severe issues during your IDC.

You can complete this IDC e-learning in the PADI Training app on your phone, your tablet or a laptop. You can switch devices without losing progress and can switch between languages at your convenience.

☑️ SKILLS CIRCUIT PRACTICE

The PADI Divemaster and IDC skills circuit contains the fundamental skills that each PADI SCUBA instructor must master to properly teach the basic PADI curriculum. You find these essential skills in the video demonstration below. The scoring for the demonstration of these skills happens on a scale of 1 to 5 (with 1 being the lowest score and 5 being the highest).

- 1: Candidate was unable to perform the skill

- 2: Skill was performed with significant difficulty, error or in a manner that could not be seen by all students

- 3: Skill was performed correctly, though to quickly to adequatly exhibit the details of the skill

- 4: Skill was performed correctly and slowly

- 5: Skill was performed correctly and slowly, while emphasizing the critical elements of the skill (appears easy)

 

It's okay to perfom skills in a way that varies from the video below, so long as they are safe, simple and match the performance requirement.
